New England Sculptors Association is partnering with The Attleboro Arts Museum 86 Park St, Attleboro MA

Exhibition Theme: TAKE A STAND, Voices of the New England Sculptors Association.

Visual art has the power to transmit profound messages and reflect the issues of the day. NESA artists are asked to make their voices heard by means of their sculptural forms.

IMPORTANT DATES:
 Call Begins: January 2, 2020

Call Ends: January 30

Notification: February 15

Delivery of work: March 31 10am-4pm & Apr 1 10am-4pm

Exhibit opens: April 9

Reception: April 18 2pm-4pm

 Exhibit closes: May 8 5pm

Pick up of artwork : May 8 5pm-6pm & May 9 10am-4pm

     

JUROR: Mim Fawcett, Executive Director and Chief Curator, Attleboro Arts Museum

REQUIREMENT: The juror of the show is requesting each artist to write a brief description of how they submission relates to the theme of the show.

EXHIBIT:

•  This is an indoor exhibition and a members only show. To become a member of NESA, click here

•  You can submit up to 2 views of 2 sculptures for a fee of $15.

•  Work is to be original, work must weigh less than 100 pounds and be no taller than 12 feet. Works that are for sale and not for sale are accepted.

 

ELIGIBILITY: This exhibit is open to all artists 18 or older.All work is to be must be completed within the past 2 years.

SALES: If artwork is sold and you are a member of Attleboro Arts Museum as well, 30% goes to Attleboro Arts Museum and 5% to NESA, if non member of Attleboro Art Museum, commission is 40% Attleboro and 5% NESA. Click here to become a member of Attleboro Arts Museum

PRESENTATION: If there are any special requirements for the installation, please bring explicit directions and bring along tools and any hardware needed. You can make prior arrangements to be present to install if needed. All works that require electricity MUST be flagged.

ADVERTISING: We will be advertising in ArtScope magazine and also postcards will be available. It will be highly likely that multiple artists will be called on for the advertising media. Please have readily available an image of 300dpi if called upon.

 DELIVERY AND REMOVAL OF ACCEPTED WORK:

 Works must be hand-delivered to the Attleboro Arts Museum, 86 Park St., Attleboro, MA on either March 31st or April 1st from 10am-4pm. Pick up of work is either May 8th from 5-6pm or May 9th from 10am-4pm.These dates and times are non-negotiable.

 Note: A representative can deliver and pick up your work for you, but the stated dates and times cannot be altered.

Once work has been delivered to the Attleboro Arts Museum, it cannot, under any circumstances, leave the gallery until the show has ended on May 8th, 2020 at 5pm (EST). Please keep this in mind when considering work to submit.

The Attleboro Arts Museum will provide loan agreements and ID Forms to be completed and delivered with all artwork
