“The Beauty Around Us”

Eligibility: Monterey Bay Plein Air Painters Association (MBPAPA) members who have paid their 2019 dues. For further information please see our website - www.mbpapa.org.

Theme: The exhibit theme will be “The Beauty Around Us”.
The possibilities are wide open: Let our wonderful area inspire you for your best plein air work.

Paintings requirements:

  • Paintings are to be completed primarily en plein air or be plein air inspired studio pieces
  • They may not have been exhibited in a prior MBPAPA show
  • All paintings will be delivered to the show framed and ready to hang -- including hanging wire.
  • The paintings’ dimensions cannot be larger than 36 inches in height or width unframed

Please note: In addition to the usual information on the back of your painting each piece should have a removable label on the Front of each work with title and name of artist. These “stickies” will be removed once the wall labels are up.

Sales : PG Art Center will receive a 40% commission of sales price on all pieces sold. So please take that into account when you price your entries.

Image Submission:
This is a juried exhibit. Each artist may submit a maximum of 2 digital images to "onlinejuriedshows.com" for the jury selection process. For further help on preparing your images and using OnlineJuriedShows.com, please click on the Image Help and Helpful vidoes link at the top.

The MBPAPA board decided to limit the number of entries for each artist to two pieces, so that more members have a chance to be picked by the juror.

Calendar:

  • Digital image submission and fees paid on "onlinejuriedshows.com" - no later than midnight April 12th, 2019
  • Notification of Acceptance —April 19th, 2019, via Constant Contact
  • Deliver accepted and framed work to the PG Art Center April 27th between 1-4pm
  • Exhibit –May3rd - June.31st 2019
  • Opening reception -- All MBPAPA members, guests and the public are invited to an opening reception be held Friday, May 3rd, 2019 from 7-9 pm at the PG Art Center, 568 Lighthouse Ave., Pacific Grove, CA 93950
  • Pick up Paintings -- June 28th 12-4 pm
  • Please note artwork must remain up for the duration of the exhibit.
