Crystal Cove – From Sand to Sea, Over $2000 in Awards!



The Randy Higbee Gallery is hosting our Spring Exhibition and Sale “Crystal Cove – From Sand to Sea” Once again, we will bring nationally acclaimed representational artists to a spectacular venue in Orange County, California. The opening will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018. Artists are invited to submit up to 3 paintings measuring no larger than 12x16 in size. It will be a spectacular show showcasing the beauty of Crystal Cove.

 

The gallery will work on a 60/30/10 split with 60% going to the artist, 30% going to the gallery, and 10% going to the Crystal Cove Conservancy.

 

Pricing

All artwork need to be priced for sale and priced reasonably.

 

Format and Media All traditional media (oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, etc) will be accepted. Jewelry, sculpture, etc will not be accepted for this show. Eligibility open to all artists painting in representational work in traditional media with the subject matter being Crystal Cove.

 

Entry and Fee Application

There is a $10 entry fee per piece with a maximum of 3 pieces allowed for submission.

 

Framing

All frames must be purchased from kingofframe.com or at the Randy Higbee Gallery showroom.

 

Artists will have the option of bringing in or mailing unframed works to be framed by the gallery after they have been accepted in the show. The artist is responsible for which frame they would like on their piece. It is the artist’s responsibility to contact the gallery with regards to framing. Prizes and Awards

There will be over $2000.00 in awards given. The awards will be 50% cash and 50% credit for frames at the kingofframe.com website. Credit must be used within 60 days of the close of the show.

 

Forms

We need two forms, which you will supply to us upon your acceptance. One will be an information sheet to be taped to each piece of the art accepted and the other will be a form stating your return shipping and insurance information.

 

Return Shipping

There is a packaging and return shipping fee for shipping back artwork. We ship using Fed Ex Ground.

 

Important Date:

Entry Deadline:  April 20, 2018

Notification of Acceptance: April 22, 2018

 

Please see that all pieces arrive within 7-10 days after notification.

 

Opening and Artists Reception: Saturday, May 5th from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. Artists are encouraged to attend.

 

Closing date: May 26, 2018
