Exhibition Details
This is Sierra Pastel Society’s first Online exhibit.  Long-distance Signature-Status members now have the opportunity to enter the show without shipping or driving to a Gallery.   Your dry (soft) pastel paintings will be displayed Online for maximum viewing and publicity from October 1 through October 31, 2017.

Signature-Status Artists current with their 2017 Membership Dues are eligible to enter this show.

Paintings must be a minimum of 80% dry (soft) pastel.

No student work (produced in classroom setting or under the direct supervision of an instructor) may be entered.

Artwork previously shown in any Sierra Pastel Society show (regardless of venue) is not eligible for entry.

$35.00 for 1 image and $5 for each additional image (4-images allowed per artist).  

Entry fees are Non-Refundable and must be paid by the entry deadline.  Overpayment of entry fees are also non-refundable and will be considered a donation to the Sierra Pastel Society.

Acceptance is not guaranteed.

A maximum of two paintings per artist may be accepted into the on-line exhibit.

Each artist is eligible to win only one award.

Payment of fees is considered to be verification that painting images may be used by the Sierra Pastel Society for advertising purposes.

Entering Your Images
Entry form must be filled out in its entirety.  List sizes up to the nearest inch.  Submitted images must not include matting or frame.  Crop the photos to include only the artwork.  Be sure your images are right-side-up.

Before uploading your images, make sure they are smaller than 4MB, but at least 1920 pixels on the longest side at 72 dpi.  Images should be in JPEG format, sRGB color space.  Help in photographing your work and properly sizing your images can be found at:  If you need help entering your images or are unable to, please write to us here:

Artists are eligible for only one prize in this show.

A Note from OnlineJuriedShows



On the day of notification you can do the following, but you will also receive an email notification, sent from Constant Contact, that will state the same.

1.  Go to and log in using your email address and password.

2.  Right above where you just logged in, click "Your Artist Profile."  You are now in Your account!

3.  Click the show name and you will see your first image.  The jury results will be under the thumbnail view.

4.  As you will see, it will say either "This Image has been Accepted or Declined in to the show."  Under that sentence, you can click "Read Acceptance (or Declined) Letter."  The letter will then be displayed below.

5.  If you submitted more than one piece in the show, go to the next entered piece in the show by clicking the page number, displayed below the thumbnail image.

NOTE:  Please be sure to read your letters in their entirety.  Most acceptance letters will ask you to RSVP or will have special instructions you must follow.
