The pastelist’s special passion is color. The pure touch of pigment to paper, the seductive array of beautiful sticks laid out like candy at our fingertips, draws every pastelist to this direct, sensuous medium. Color evokes mood—whether subtle or strong--and this exhibition celebrates the extensive range of the Signature Pastelists of the PPSCC.

The museum is open year-round and hosts a wide selection of highly anticipated exhibitions throughout the year. We are honored to be on their calendar and hope that you will submit your best paintings to be considered for this exhibition.
Important Notice:
Please be aware that the timeline between acceptance letter and delivery is very tight due to a change in the CCMoA calendar, moving our exhibit earlier than originally scheduled. Please be prepared to ship your accepted painting(s) immediately so they arrive no later than March 9th. Drop off dates have been expanded in consideration of this inconvenience. Please arrange to drop off your accepted paintings between Sunday March 5th and Thursday March 9th.
Eligibility:
• PPSCC Signature members are invited to submit up to 3 paintings. Every effort will be made to accept one painting by each submitting artist bearing in mind the limitations of the space of the gallery at CCMoA.
• Annual dues for the Pastel Painters Society of Cape Cod as a Signature member must be paid.
• Pastel paintings must have been completed in the past 2 years.
• 30” x 40” maximum size framed.
• All accepted painting must be framed and ready to hang. Cape Cod Museum of Art has the right to reject any painting not presented in a professional manner. Paintings must be appropriately framed to museum standards. Use simple, tasteful museum quality frames; no metal frames, no overly ornate frames; no colored mats or mat decoration. Paintings must be secure in the frame and wired for hanging.
Fees:
1 or 2 paintings for $15, 3rd painting is $5. Entry fees are non-refundable and must be paid by the entry deadline. Acceptance is not guaranteed.
Entering Your Images:
Entry form must be filled out in its entirety. List sizes up to the nearest inch. Submitted images must not include matting or frame. Crop the photos to include only the artwork. Be sure your images are right-side-up.
Before uploading your images, make sure they are smaller than 4MB, but at least 1920 pixels on the longest side at 72 dpi. Images should be in JPEG format, sRGB color space. Juror:
Jane Lincoln former Signature member of PPSCC and recipient of numerous awards in national and international juried exhibitions will jury for acceptance and will provide the exhibit’s Award of Excellence. Jane Lincoln has devoted her artistic career to the study of color and is recognized for her expertise in the interaction of colors.

Sales:
PPSCC will handle all sales. Artists' percentage is 80%.

Calendar:
Timeline of events including
1. Open online submission by February 1st /close date on February 22nd.
2. Notifications sent out by March 3rd.
3. Drop off of artwork on Sunday March 5th , Monday March 6th 12:30 – 4pm. Other dates to drop off are acceptable but artwork dropped off and shipped must arrive no later Thursday March 9th. Please be prepared to ship out upon receipt of acceptance notification. This timeline is tight due to a change in the CCMoA calendar, moving our exhibit earlier than originally scheduled.

5. Opening reception is on March 23, 2017, 5:30-7:00 p.m.
6. Show closing on April 30th.
7. Pick up of artwork will take place on Sunday, April 30 from 3:00-5:00 p.m., and Monday May 1 from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
8. Shipped paintings will be handled by CCMoA.
