Closing Reception: April 28, 6:00 - 8:00 pm
Eligibility
This show is open to CWA members only. Original work in painting, mixed media, drawing, collage, printmaking, fiber art, photography, sculpture. Photomechanical reproductions of original work (giclee prints) are not eligible. Three entries per artist will be accepted.
Entry Fees*
First entry $15, second entry $10, third entry $10 (PayPal or credit card).
Entry fees are non-refundable and must be paid by the entry deadline.
*Members must have paid their 2017 dues in full.
Juror of Selection and Awards
Roxanne Stachelek is Executive Director of the West Hartford Art League. Roxanne is an artist and a former designer and Art Director.
Accepted Work
Work must be suitably framed and wired for hanging. No complex installations or clip frames. Sculpture must include a well-balanced pedestal and weigh less than 80 lbs. Max size of 2D works must be no larger than 30 x 40 inches. PLEASE NOTE: Submitted work must be done within 3-years, and NOT previously shown in any other CWA shows.

Online Registration Due Date is Wednesday, March 1, 2017 by Midnight. Enter up to three images online at www.OnlineJuriedShows.com
Entering Your Images
Entry form must be filled out in its entirety. List sizes up to the nearest inch. Submitted images must not include matting or frame. Crop the photos to include only the artwork. Be sure your images are right-side-up.
Before uploading your images, make sure they are smaller than 4MB, but at least 1920 pixels on the longest side at 72 dpi. Images should be in JPEG format, sRGB color space. Sales
Art League of New Britain will take 30 percent Commission. CWA will take no commission.
Awards
Up to $1000 will be awarded in cash prizes.
Exhibition Details
The Connecticut Women Artists organization was founded 88 years ago in 1929 when thirteen women artists exhibited at the Wadsworth Atheneum in Hartford. Since exhibition opportunities were rare for women at that time these women started a society of female artists. One of this country’s oldest continuing art organizations for women, CWA now has over 200 elected members.
The Connecticut Women Artists encourage all members to enter this CWA Member’s Juried exhibit and show the diverse and exceptional creative talents of our members.
Calendar
1. Deadline for entry: work must be submitted to the online service by Wednesday, March 1, 2017 midnight.
2. Juror entry selections available online: (www.onlinejuriedshows.com) Thursday, March 9, 2017.
3. Drop off of artwork: Sat, March 25, 6:00 - 8:00 pm, and Sunday, March 26, 1:00 - 3:00 pm.
4. Pickup of artwork: Sat, April 29, 6:00 - 8:00 pm, and Sunday, April 30, 1:00 - 3:00 pm.
5. Opening Reception and Award Ceremony: Saturday, April 1, 2017, 2:00 - 4:00 pm.
6. Selected Artist Talk: Date and Time to be announced.
7. Closing Reception: Friday, April 28, 2017, 6:00 - 8:00 pm.
Note: Two senior high school award winners of Scholastic ART CWA Portfolio Award will be invited to show their work in this exhibit. CWA jurors are Cynthia Cooper and Carrie Simon.

To become a member of CWA, a portfolio review is held once a year in September or juror acceptance into two Open Juried Shows. Open Juried shows are held once a year. See our website for more information at www.ctwomenartists.org
